Our eighth of 26 straight free and inclusive Monday night community bike rides brings us to Broderick Park, on the western edge of the city on the Niagara River and Canadian border, with a ride named after Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, the nonprofit that protects and restores our waterways and surrounding ecosystems for the benefit of current and future generations. For 30 years, Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper has been the guardian of Western New York’s fresh water, protecting clean water, restoring the health of ecosystems, connecting people to the water and inspiring economic growth and community engagement.

This Monday’s 10-mile roundtrip route includes stops at Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park Buffalo as well as Waterkeeper’s downtown headquarters; neighborhoods on this route include Grant-Ferry, Elmwood Village, Cold Springs, Masten Park, Allentown, and Lower West Side along major streets West Ferry, Richmond, Delaware, Elmwood, West Delavan, Main and Niagara.

Buffalocal afterparty in Broderick Park will include fellowship; food from Ms Judi’s, Mad Sauces, Totally Edible & Imperial Pizza; drinks from Big Ditch Brewing, Community Beer Works, Flying Bison Brewing, Resurgence Brewing, Chateau Buffalo, Ashker’s Juice Bar & Snowy Owl Kombucha; and music from Ismail & Company.
