Thanks to BestSelf Behavioral Health, we’re presenting another free and inclusive Saturday Bike Stampede as part of Saturday Academy at Dr. Lydia T. Wright School of Excellence!
While our weekend rides are usually slightly faster and longer than Slow Roll Mondays, this one might keep a similar pace to Mondays in order to accommodate the kids we hope will join us after Saturday Academy, which caters to all ages with an array of free fun from 10-1 including breakfast and lunch, swim lessons, haircuts and more. Some of this Saturday’s programming has been built with Slow Rollers in mind, as explained by Dr. Wright’s Say Yes Community Schools Navigator Gretchen Dade:
“On June 1st, we’ve arranged an adult-based activity to cater to the Slow Roll crowd called the ‘Community Social Meet & Greet’ where adult participants can play fun icebreaker games to learn more about themselves, their neighbors, and fellow community.
“We’ve also planned ‘the Great Book Barter’ activity where a host of philosophical, political, academic, art appreciation, and instructional books will be available to Saturday Academy participants.”
All are encouraged to bring up to five used books to donate!
