Herd Inc d/b/a Slow Roll Buffalo Fundraising Consultant Request for Proposals October 23, 2020 Purpose Slow Roll Buffalo, a newly independent 501(c)3 is seeking proposals for professional fundraising services in developing and implementing a fundraising campaign and sustainability plan for the 2021 fiscal year. Background Slow Roll Buffalo (SRB) is one of the world’s largest free and inclusive community bike rides. Founded in 2014, SRB connects communities through guided rides for bicyclists of all ages and skill levels. With a slow pace and volunteer squad that keeps riders safe and social, each ride features a different host site and unique route around the city, including stops to regroup and meet neighborhood stakeholders before returning for an afterparty with food, drinks, music and fellowship. Scope of Work SRB is seeking a fundraising consultant with a proven record of developing organizational fundraising capacity, grant writing, securing corporate sponsorships, and managing individual donor campaigns. The consultant will: Conduct a kick-off meeting with the fundraising committee to co-create a reasonable timeline with actionable steps, deliverables, milestones, and clear objectives.
