UPDATE: Free admission to the Buffalo Irish Center festivities for all who participate in our free St. Paddy’s Pedal Party!
‘Tis the season for the wearin’ o’ the green…and Slow Roll Squad orange! Join us this Friday, March 15th, at the Buffalo Irish Center, 245 Abbott Road, for a new tradition in our second annual St. Paddy’s Pedal Party, a free and inclusive eight-mile ride as part of the center’s weekend-long St. Patrick’s festivities, which are outlined below including live music and dance.
The “craic” will be strong at this one – that’s a term that’s become synonymous with fellowship of Irish influence. To learn more about the Buffalo Irish Center, read this host profile from our previous ride there last year – below as a bit more from BIC leader Mary Heneghan.
What else is happening at the Buffalo Irish Center around St. Patrick’s Day?
Irish music and dancers everyday of the St. Patrick’s Celebrations; soda bread contest on Saturday, March 16th; traditional Irish breakfast on Saturday, which is $20 pre-sale only. Admission to the festivities each day is $8 in advance from the center or Tara Gift Shoppe, or $10 at the door, which helps keep the center going year-round.
What makes BIC a special place year-round?
BIC has been the home of many Irish American organizations for almost 49 years. You can learn Gaelic, set dancing, traditional Irish dance, football and more through groups that meet here.
What should Pedal Party participants expect Friday night?
Friday features three bands, dancers, Irish food and the craic!
