Big thanks for our biggest Big Ditch ride to date! And big ups to Big Ditch Brewing Company for their A+ hospitality – great place, people, beer, and those Hayburner hot wings hit the spot…

…in what I believe to be our first repeat MVP honors, gotta give it up to two of our favorite riders, Bunny & Paul, for making this sweet Slow Roll quilt for our squad member Hugh Perkins! I won’t say how old Paul is, but he’s a big part of our boasting that our ridership ranges in age from 4 to 94, how bout it!

We’re grateful for kindness like this and the kind of heart-n-soul Hugh brings each week – he’s got that Hugh jack swing on the bullhorn, making smiles for miles…

…speaking of Miles, The Historic Colored Musicians Club has hosted countless jazz icons since finding its permanent home on the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor in 1934, at the dawn of the swing era – and next Monday, it’s hosting Slow Roll! The George Scott Big Band will play upstairs, the new museum will extend its hours downstairs, and the afterparty will extend outside – join us for Slow Roll Buffalo’s Got That Swing Ride!

“It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing” – Colored Musicians Club guest Duke Ellington
